Alex (consistently): Daddy, I don't like your pokies (facial hair).
Me (two days later): Alex, I shaved off my pokies.
He smiles and walks toward me.
Also Me: I shaved them off just for you Buddy. See? (Moving his hand down my cheek)
Alex: (He slides his hand back up) Nope. Still there.
It's been longer than I wanted, and I must apologize because I'm off track with the website launch. Work has been INSANE but in many good ways. Work gave me something that made me cry, on video, in front of everyone. I felt so appreciated in that moment and it reinforced the feeling I have every day that I work where I belong.
Lately my weeks have been outdoing each other in terms of craziness and each time I sit down to rest there is another mountain to climb. I stand up on my paws (Leo) and my pack gives me the look - "We're with you" - without me even asking. At the same time they make sure I eat and badger me to sleep and when I took a day off to be with my family they literally ignored me all day.
