Life is a journey. You learn from the minute it starts. From your parents. Family. Elders. School. Friends. College. Each time you think you've mastered something life reminds you again there is much more to learn.
I've grown used to being reset by life and being taught a lesson as life goes on but I never thought I'd learn about life as a result of work. I've made a lot of friends in my life and more good friends than I can count. I thought I'd found a best friend, a buddy I'd probably share the rest of my life with and I did but I was wrong about who I thought it was. That person has come and gone but this guy was the real life long friend I'd gained.
The new job had given me not only happiness in my work but a friend who would become so much to me. He's taught me some things about life that I was ignorant about before, mostly about what's important and what's not. Where your time should be spent and why at the end of the day only a few things really matter amongst all the noise in life. I've posted about my work habits before and some of you know about my bad habit of putting myself last and not sleeping enough and eating worse than I should.
He has sunk in so much time caring about me and making me care about myself and showing me why I need to listen to him. He has a family too and his own life experiences and he uses them to make me a better person than I was. Life wins again with another lesson and a Brother.
