Today we let the big secret out. We are moving to Oregon in a few weeks. When I say 'We' I mean us as a family but I will be there less of the time. I work on a reactive on-site team which requires me to be in CA to be here for my clients. I will be going up monthly to see my family until I can transfer to a remote team. That possibility is already being looked at by Senior Management for other reasons but until then I will be here in CA most the time.

Supporting Ann trying to get her second degree to get a career she enjoys is important. I love what I do. I always have. I want the same for her. The challenge is going to be taking care of myself the way she does because she won't be here to beat me up when I don't - although that butt whooping will come once a month when I go up there, so it's better I take care of myself.

We know it won't be easy but we will make it work. Corvallis, OR is beautiful. Look it up if you are curious where we are headed.
